EMBROIDERY AT

INK & STITCH SOLUTIONS

Custom embroidery is a technique where a design or logo is stitched onto fabric using specialized machines. The process involves creating a digital version of the design, which is then programmed into the machine. The fabric is placed in a hoop, and the machine pulls the designated colors of thread to stitch the design onto the fabric.

At Ink & Stitch Solutions, we have a brand new 6-head Baruden embroidery machine (and will be obtaining a few other machines in the near future to expand our embroidery capabilities), which allows us to embroider 6 items at a time, and depending upon the complexity of the design, up to 60 pieces per hour. We also have the capability to produce small runs with a minimum order of 12 pieces.

Embroidery is the Perfect Option For:

» A Professional and POLISHED LOOK

There is no denying that an embroidered item has a certain professional quality about it. Items with embroidered logos or designs are often perceived as more valuable and higher quality, which can enhance the brand image. In fact, many customers utilize custom embroidery specifically to produce corporate gifts and promote branding.

» Durability

Embroidered designs are long-lasting and can withstand frequent washing and wear without fading or losing their shape.

» CUSTOMIZATION

The “individual” nature of embroidery makes it suitable for adding detail touches to items such as names, business titles, ranks, team numbers, unique messages, dates and more. At Ink & Stitch Solutions, we have customized everything from stuffed animals to pillow cases, hankerchiefs to uniforms, golf bags to seat covers and everything in between. It allows for customization of designs, colors, and fonts, making it easy to create personalized items that reflect individual or brand preferences.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is there a minimum order?

Yes. We have a minimum order of 12 pieces.  That is, perhaps, one of the best parts about choosing embroidery for your customization. We can embroider a dozen items or 500 items. Just keep in mind that the turnaround time would obviously be very different.

What do you need for Artwork?

For embroidery, all artwork must be in a DST file format in order to communicate with the embroidery machine. If you do not have a DST file, you can submit your artwork to us in a JPG, PNG, SVG or PDF format and we can digitize the file for an additional fee.

What if I don't have artwork or my artwork needs editing?

This depends on your specific needs.  If you are personalizing your items with a name/date/etc. that does not require a specific font or logo, we can create the file for you in our embroidery program. If your design consists of a specific font or image, then we will need to digitize your logo so that it matches. If you do not have artwork or if your current artwork needs minor edits, we can help you to create your vision. Artwork development or editing fees are based on size and level of detail.

Can I have my screen-printed items embroidered also?

We can absolutely add embroidery personalization to your screen-printing order and, in fact, often do. Having that added embroidered touch takes the professionalism of your items up another notch!

When is Embroidery not the best option?

Due to the nature of our embroidery machines and the process of “hooping” the item, sometimes we are not able to provide embroidery in certain locations of an item. The following circumstances may not be optimal for embroidery:

 – Large or detailed logos on tee shirts or tee shirt material.  It is our experience that embroidery on tee shirts does not wear well over time and that detailed embroidery can cause the fabric to warp and pull.

– Stuffed animals – the optimal and most aesthetic application of embroidery is when the back of the embroidery (we use a backing to stabilize the stitches) is on the inside of an item. With stuffed animals, the back of the embroidery would show through unless the animal has been deconstructed to allow access to the interior and then reconstructed upon completion.  We do not do the “construction” process but we are happy to embroider if you are willing to take on these steps.

– Thick or heavy material – there are occasions where we are unable to hoop a material to feed into the machine due to the rigidity or thickness of the material. There are also occasions where our embroider needles are not capable of breaching the materials.  We find this often with certain leathers, synthetic fabrics, waterproofing, some canvases and denim or rubbery fabrics.

-Sheer or delicate materials – lace, chiffon and organza are difficult to embroider as the fabric can pucker and tear in the process

– High stretch items – spandex, socks, and similar items lose their ability to stretch when embroidered which can alter the wearability or usability of the item.

Every item is difference, so it is best to reach out to us and we will let you know if your specific item can be embroidered.

Can I provide my own apparel/items for Embroidery?

Due to the nature of the embroidery process, there are occasions when items are damaged. As a result, we cannot take responsibility for items that are brought into us for embroidery. We have access to several distributors and brands for quality apparel and promotional items at competitive pricing. We prefer that all items be purchased through us, however in the rare occasion that we accept outside items, the customer accepts the risk that their items might be damaged without replacement.

Do you provide sub-contracting services for other businesses?

Yes! We currently work with several businesses as a sub-contractor, providing screen-printing and embroidery services to expand their service offerings to their customer base. There are many reasons why your business might choose to work with us as your sub-contracted screen-printer or embroidery professional:

1. Your physical location does not have the space or capacity for screen-printing or embroidery machine setups.

2. Your customers are interested in screen-printing or embroidery but you do not have the knowledge of the techniques and processes to achieve professional results worthy of your business name.

3. You do not have the time or staffing resources to dedicate to expanding into these areas.

4. You understand that working with a professional screen-printer or embroidery team adds value to your business and customers.

If you are interested in adding screen-printing and/or embroidery to your business, we would love to work with you and provide a quote for services.  For more information please reach out to us at info@inkandstitchsolutions.com
