About Us

The story of Ink and Stitch Solutions began in 1989 when Anibal Vegas moved to the mainland from Puerto Rico. Eager to start anew, he landed a job at a custom apparel business, initially tasked with maintenance and cleaning. Fascinated by the screen-printing process and eager to learn, his opportunity arose unexpectedly when a fellow employee resigned, opening a door for Anibal to step into the role of screen-printer.

Along the way, Anibal crossed paths with Bianca, a skilled seamstress in the sewing department. They tied the knot in 1990, and soon expanded their family with two sons. A true family business, Anibal hopes that one of his sons will one day take over the business and continue its legacy.

Through many twists and turns, Ink and Stitches was born out of necessity and a dream for the future. What started in the basement has evolved into a warehouse operation and the aspiration is to one day expand to a building of their own that includes an e-commerce print-on-demand component.

Milestones

* 1993 – Business closes and Anibal begins working for Performance Thresholds in Wallingford

* 1997 – Anibal leaves Performance Thresholds to work as a screen-printer for Multy Prints, a screen-printing shop owned by Barker Specialties.

* 2009 – Laid off from Barker Specialty due to the recession of 2008/9.

* 2009 – 2017 – Builds business by knocking on doors. Corporate clients include Barker Specialties, N&D Sports, Promotional Solutions and many others.

* 2017 – Re-brands to Ink and Stitch Solutions, LLC and adds embroidery capabilities.

*2022 – Moves to warehouse space at 21 N. Plains Industrial Road in Wallingford
